then there leviathan weapon for youso SE wants me to do fates for who knows how long and for what? change the color of my chicken on a stick? and you want me to pay for this? there's zero sense of accomplishment or growth, this is not grind and this game is not an rpg. ef this, i can bang my head on a wall for free and then change the color of my shirt after some random amount of time for free.
6th day trying to get even 1 piece of Atma and still nothing (about 100fates done)
The drop rate should be at least 10-20%, if it's stays like it is, it will be such a drag
luck some people have it others dont.
one of my FC got 3 in 3 FATES

All the solo/party theories are pretty funny when talking about a RNG. So little discussion on Lore possibilities.

I've said this in another thread about the same topic, this is something that SE should address. This feature has an extremely large grind component to it. Grinding out 12 atmas up a large portion of time. The longer your average player spends doing this, the longer they are not spending doing any other content in the game.
1) The atma grind - I would change this to have a fixed drop rate that increases over time. Even if this percentage starts at 1% and works its way up from there, one would still have the knowledge that with every miss your chances get better and better. Another option would be instead of having the drop rate come off of the end of the fate, have it come from the fate mobs themselves. Even a low drop rate percentage would have the perceived increase chance if every mob they kill in the fate had a chance of getting them to their goal.
2) Books - I would change it so that the books could be bought as soon as you have taken the quest. Bought but not started.

I doubt there are any lore possibilities, given that in my 26 hours of grinding so far, during the times when I've been in groups, I've seen the Atmas drop (for other people, sadly, and not myself) from every type of FATE, and different FATEs of the same type. If there was some sort of lore-related rhyme or reason to how they drop, there would be some kind of identifiable pattern, and there just isn't one. It's totally random.

Wasn't referring to FATE types or different FATES of the same type. Was referring to SE past practice in the series and even Zodiac Lore.I doubt there are any lore possibilities, given that in my 26 hours of grinding so far, during the times when I've been in groups, I've seen the Atmas drop (for other people, sadly, and not myself) from every type of FATE, and different FATEs of the same type. Folks comparing same Atma type drops - Time of Drop, weather, etc. I've seen little to none of that in this thread. Maybe I'm asking for too much.

You're asking for something as pointless as people comparing HQ results when facing west on Firesday during a full moon in FFXI.Wasn't referring to FATE types or different FATES of the same type. Was referring to SE past practice in the series and even Zodiac Lore.

Human brains are not well-equipped to handle extremely low chances of success at a repeated action; as habitual foragers we are encoded with a drive to look for markers of success and follow them. However, you do not have to fall into this trap; The most likely and best explanation is that it's nothing but random number generation.
