Feedback Regarding the Relic Upgrade Quest

Dynamis weapons, the paper grinds, access to sky, sea, ect, if you want the precious, you're going to have to invest the time to get it. My suggestion if you're currently not in a FC you find one, because from this point forward, the time sinks and more difficult group content begins. If you want the end all be all gears in pve you're not only going to require to have the time investment, but the skill to get it done.

Just wait for the level cap grinds. Players of WoW, welcome to final fantasy, I want to teach you a new word it's called, time commitment, for a weapon that was not ment to be had by everyone, you do have alternatives at least, but from what I hear coil got harder too.

If casual time is all you can afford, then casual rewards is all you'll get. Which isn't a bad thing, but don't expect to be handed everything in this game pve has to offer for very little commitment on your part.

Do I think this kind of time commitment of 12 hours a day 7 days a week, no people work from 8-12 hours a day and have families, but I do think that it will require the kind of commitment in your time, to not be able to play other games, and it will require the time you do have to play to spend that time wisely.

There plenty of new content out there as an interim until they up the drop rate...go do Leviathan EX or clear T5 and do the new coils

I have spent the weekend mostly doing fates for Atma. I have only 2 to show for my effort while some in my fc have their Atma completed. That is the problem with RNG. It doesnt reward based on time or effort. Its random. Its a poor way for SE to make people redo content they have no interest in doing. When I found out you had to grind FATEs for the relic quest I was so incredibly disappointed. FATEs are a mindless zergfest that takes no skill, minimal effort, and no coordination. The only point to Atma FATEs is to make the relic quest a time sink.

After 2 days of w/o atma drop, i changing from SCH to BLM for the FATEs grind, 4 dropped in 1 day. Talk about RNG eh?

Another person who is missing the point.

The problem isn't the time taken itself, but the abysmally low drop rates combined with a boring game element. Some people do 1000 FATEs before even seeing their first item, while some have got all of them in under 1000 FATEs. This is dumb luck and has nothing to do with skill. I was expecting another A Relic Reborn like quest, just longer and harder. Don't care if it takes 5, 10, 20 or 100 hours, as long as you can actually rely on an imaginary progress bar.

And after the Pandemonium Warden incident, SE should have known better.

More like "Oh no, I didn't get a single part of the 12 things I need to change the ilvl and skin of my current weapon without changing the stats at all in 10 hours!" Also, I've seen maybe two people total complain about step 2 (yanno, the one where you actually make your weapon an upgrade over the Zenith). No one has a problem with time. People have lots of problem with grinding for 10 hours and making the same amount of progress on the quest as if they'd just ignored it.
