Bangaa it is.

Bangaa it is.

I'm leaning on a Burmecian type species such as FFIX's Freya (just reimagined in the same way Mithra aren't quite Miquote).

Error 3102 Survivor

bangaa is not possible, the body is too much different for be this.
they have claws at the hand and only 3-4 finger, they are massive and them face and leg are not human like.
other point the tail is way too long and not large enough for be a reptilian pure race... it's actually quite disturbing because we can't really see what it can be.
Clearly, she is really Areuhat.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. If they are indeed horns, that has to be a major oversight. I'm leaning towards ears at this point.
Also notice she shares Miqote animations. It's most likely going to be a Gria and hearing how Ishgard is on a kill anything dragon related crusade, it wouldn't be shocking if she had wings hidden somewhere.
Don't trust animations, it's just a way to save "resources". Nael van Darnus had Elezen animations and he wasn't an Elezen

Having now watched most of the cutscenes involving Yugiri, I came to a dreadful epiphany. WHATEVER race Yugiri is, it will most likely never be a playable race.
Yugiri makes a big deal out of the fact that she covers up so that the people of Ul'dah won't be shocked by her appearance. If you, the player, are walking around uncovered in Ul'dah, speaking with her in cutscenes, and are the same race that she is, those cutscenes will make no bloody sense at all.
There are ways to get around this, I suppose; Yugiri could be hideously mutilated or something, so she's not trying to cover up her race, but rather her shocking injuries. Even so, I think this indicates bad news for folks hoping to get a sixth race to play as.

While I agree this will cause a lore issue if they are later made playable. but if you take some of her dialog into account, it sets it up as pretty obvious they're going to become playable. Particularly, the statements of "Willing to work as tradesmen or soldiers" and the willingness to, in the Ul'Dah bit, allow only a handful of the refugees to reside in Ul'dah if that will allow at least those to get off the boats she is actively with, and find somewhere else for the rest of them to go... Sounds like us Adventurers to me, willing to work as tradesmen or soldiers, and the races aren't locked to particular city-states.Having now watched most of the cutscenes involving Yugiri, I came to a dreadful epiphany. Also the "unwillingness to reveal her face, because people fear the unfamiliar" could hint that when the race is made playable (say in an expansion) that the story may have moved a few years down the road where now Domans are more integrated into the 3 city-states society and are less unfamiliar, and SE may pull a "Cataclysm" like expansion where even low-level content and main story is changed forever to reflect this move forward in the timeline... It's also a way to build anticipation for the final reveal of what she actually looks like. (which may still be "in development" as a truly finalized model may not yet be complete...which may be why she shares animations with miqo'te as that may be the closest they have implemented, before their actual animations are truly finalized for the male and female models)
but I might just be over thinking things
