I'm interested in Job Specific Pets(JSP!?)!!
Goodbye, Final Fantasy...
OMG........ OMG.... OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clean up on Isle 7!! I think I just came!!!!!!!! O______O;;The first is pet-related content where players can raise chocobos and other mounts that anyone can ride. The second idea is centered around pets that can only be utilized by specific jobs.
However, we won't be picking just one concept to implement. Instead we will be looking into the specifications so that we can implement both. However, as we are not yet at the stage where we can disclose when the implementation timing will be. We hope that the current chocobo implementation planned for 1.19 will hold you all over in the meantime.
Bayohne... if you read this... I'm crying with joy... I've been waiting months since launch to hear the words of chocobo implementation and pets.... And after months of little tidbits about the mount system.... this just made my day!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! XD I will patiently wait to hear more on this subject but for now I'm am @!#$ing thrilled to say the least that I am eagerly awaiting Chocobos in 1.19!! <3 Thank you dearly for the info!!!
YES!This seems like a good spot to drop some information that we recently heard from Yoshida... He mentioned that the dev. team is currently thinking about two different approaches.

....about time!
.... just saying (I'm sure you knew).
But hell yes to both ideas.
Now I saw this in the dev tracker and even though I'd read the thread before it the topic didn't ring a bell, so I thought it was about vanity pets. Now that the mental image has taken hold, I can't abandon the thought of my baby pet Chocobo. This seems like a good spot to drop some information that we recently heard from Yoshida... OMG! I almost had a heart attack after reading Bay's post! o.o
Can I have a Moogle as a pet? follows me around <3

I want to see Moogles involved a bit more as well. I want a Moogle pet.
As for job specific pets, I do hope they are not timed like they were in FFXI. I would rather have 1-3 pets that I have to raise, that maybe level with me and that I can summon when I feel like it.
In FFXI BST pets never felt like real pets, since they were either just "tamed" for a set period of time or they were called using pet food.
I'd soo love a pet Apkallu that follows me around Ul'dah... *___*

Hey Bay, question for you and I'm not sure if you can answer but will we be able to gear our mounts/chocobos up? Like put armor on them or earn armor for them to make it more customizable for each person? A sense of variety and diversity I think will give life to the world of Eorzea. Appreciate it if you could get a answer from the Dev Team thanks. Again thanks for all your hard work.
Sexcellent news. I'm VERY curious to see the other mountsDodos are just ready.
