Yoshida did have a comment about mounted battles when the discussion came up, too!

i had a conversation like 6 months ago with LS member about chocobo armor and gear, chocobo whistle to summon, and chocobo helping fight. I cant believe that you are ding all of them.
I even said especially for lancer fighting on the back would be awesome.

It would be very difficult to feature mounted battles on every field. Therefore, instead of creating mediocre content for every area, we would like to make these battles special. This will be far ahead in the future, but if we were to implement mounted battles, we would like to make this specialized content. This way we can focus our resources to create the most interesting and optimized content.
