I hate the fact that there's always a "wait a little longer" at the end of every community rep's post. lol
It's never just a "little".
Oh, but great info.
Looking forward to raise my own chocobo!

OH MY GAWD !If cultivation is implemented, I would like to have gardens implemented as well. It would be nice to have a garden in front of your house, so let’s test this out.
I really REALLY hope he meant what he wrote ! ( ^.^)b
If this ever gets implemented i'll happily stomp on my WoW battlechest until it's completly trashed.

I used to be Noomy...then i took shiva's Hail Storm to my knee...

Why must summoner even be a class or a job? Why not an ability everyone gets at high level in addition to the "echo"?
Everyone could summon in 6, 7, 8 , 12, 13, so why not in 14?

Everyone can if they use the class. If every class gets the ability to summon though, it would just add to the lack of definition that classes already have.

I never even played BST in FFXI but I thought it was a great class for casual players. I think the addition of a job like that would take care of their point of trying to become more casual player friendly.

A Summoner Class is going to be very hard to implement in this battle system. It doesnt use lists so they wont be able to make each summon pop up its own unique abilities without some kind of major overhaul. If anything I would think summoning will be like a one shot desperation move. But honestly, I can't see anyway to implement it as a playable class atm.

I don't quite get what you mean. Dev's can make whatever they want fit into the system. It could be a playable class just like I mentioned earlier in the thread, or be a pet class and be heavily nerfed again in the name of balance.A Summoner Class is going to be very hard to implement in this battle system. Edit: Oh you meant "we can't have summoner because we don't have a list of abilities like in FF11"? Lol... there are tons of ways they can use the action bar for that.

They can add a separate menu that pops up when you summon a pet like any other MMO, or you can use your macros to set up pet commands. Maybe they'll come up with a whole diff system where your pets abilities are connected to the masters abilities. So whenever the summoner uses a skill, the pet will use one also depending on which skill the master used.A Summoner Class is going to be very hard to implement in this battle system. You can't say it can't be implemented because you can't have a "list" of their abilities, that's just lack of creativity if you put it that way.

They could also split up the summons among the jobs or races. We've got quite a few summons in the FF world and a few with variants (Bahamut) from the past. In FFTA each race had a specific summon and could only use it under specific conditions.
Having any class with access to all of them would be hell on the action bar. Also lore wise they require crystals to come visit us, just something to consider. That's lore that would be hard to change considering it's wired directly into the main storyline campaign missions already.
Aion had a summoner pet class that allowed you a fair amount of control over the summoned creature. It was fun but it was hell on the action bars. Almost all slots were eventually filled up.
