Thread: macro icon system of 2.2

This may be old now but the macros are all still there, just hidden. To get it to show up properly on the hotbar you have to visit the macro creation screen:

Create a new macro but start it off like this for ex:

/micon "Foresight"
/ac "Foresight" <me>

Make sure to leave the picture blank, and when you assign it to the hotbar it will show the picture for that ability.

Well, it doesn't have to be left blank, just select whichever of that limited selection will help you find it within the Macro window in case you want to go back and edit it later. But if you use the /micon command, it overrides that picture on the hotbar, so the Macro window itself is the only place the initial picture will show up.

Nice I didnt't know you could still choose one of the default pictures, thanks!

So here's something that's bugging me. When I use an icon of an ability I can't use, for e.g.; Using /macroicon "Shroud of Saints" on Warrior, The icon is forever darkened. Will this be ever addressed? It's not like the macro is trying to cast Shroud of Saints, I just want the specific icon.

/macroicon is great for when we need to see the cooldown and stuff.
I still have some of my old macro icons, thankfully. If I knew you were going to delete every icon and put 4 tabs; I would have make 100 blanks macros.

It's 2015 and that comment is 2011, why haven't it been improved like you said it was?

I know this thread is probably dead, but I'm sure everyone that uses macros would like an answer.
So I'm going to try and revive this thread.
