Casual Content - Why is it so walled off?

Alright, most of you know that I'm one of the people that was very upset and vocal about FC housing prices.

Housing, even FC housing, since there were no real benefits at first, is a casual content. You don't get high level gear from Housing.

So, new patch, new recipes, and look! Town gear!

Cute sailor outfit, elegant spring dress and bonnet, so pretty!

Nice, they're adding some casual crafting content.

FFXIVDB has been updated. I've looked at the recipes. Please, peruse this particular recipe with me fellow players:

Spring Dress

Weaver - level 50
Recipe Level - 90
Craftsmanship required - 374

1 Wind CLUSTER
2 Lightning CLUSTER
1 Vanya Silk (requires 9 Potash to make)
1 Twinthread
2 Dress Material (unknown acquisition)

Seriously SE???

This is casual content, town gear that has no purpose other than looking pretty. And you're making it a level 90 craft WHY?

Before I completely lose my mind, does anyone have a rational explanation for this?

Addendum 2 - Don't tell me to go away and play a different game. I upped my sub by 6 months ONE DAY before the housing prices were released. Otherwise I would have canceled. I'm here until my sub runs out.

I don't get the complaint Craftsmanship required - 374 isn't that hard to get, especially with new quested tools they adding, and stuff like vanya silk is easy to get.

FC houses isnt even for casuals. You gotta wait for Personal houses. Dont worry should come next patch hopefully.

Problem leads all towards the direction of the game and them nerfing everything. No Solo content worth doing anymore since its gimp. Only need to login for 20mins a day and 1-2hrs a day a week to clear everything from dailies to coil to capping tomes. Once your 5ish hours a week is done can logout for rest of your days til reset.

Alot of major issues with this game and its going downhill by design.
We as gamers need longer lasting & longer content to do without any or small amount of lockouts.

If casual gamers cant play as long then they can go after the equipment near best in game. Tomes is best way for casuals toget equipment but seems to require too much grinding toget. On the other hand hardcore players want harder challanges toget gear then grinding for tomes.

Game need something like a 3 hour event like limbus, dynamis, etc. These had logouts but could be done twice a week, giving the other options to do other stuff in the game.
(Endgame shells run for about 3-4hours normally) They also dont want to be limited to 8 man setups.
To fix this they need to create next Crystal Tower aimed for hardcore that takes least 1 hour to complete but can go up to 3 hours & have 3 day logouts from entering the dungeon.

Maybe because vanity is a new thing and for those specific looks they want people to work for it. Only logical/rational explanation I can think of. Kinda crazy how high a level of craft it is for a vanity item.

Could also be because people were complaining about crafting not being useful endgame, but in a small way this does because some people want to tank BCT6-9 in a spring dress I guess? You'll probably be able to make a big profit in the first couple weeks off of the dress, something to look forward to I would think, at least.

I think SE just wanted to create some gear for NPCs but we just happen to have the option to craft & wear it our selfs.

Does this Spring Dress have good stats on it? If no, then honestly, I can't comprehend why SE would make its recipe so expensive. I can see a recipe like that being used for an i170/i80 piece of equipment intended to be used as an intermediary while people are still working to fill out their full i90 gear sets and double as nice vanity gear, but as vanity gear alone? This should be a much lower level recipe.

In short, I'm with the OP on how crazy this is, and am disappointed that between this and the recipes for the i90 crafted stuff, there is once again no reason for me to level a crafting profession besides Culinarian.
