Anyone else disappointed with the lack of variety in Monk gear?

I agree some more monk gear that's obviously inspired by traditional martial-arts wear would be cool, but by the same token, there's only so many ways you can make a gi look interesting. Mostly I'd like to see them make the AF1/1+ set possible to dye.

There isn't much monk gear in the game if you think about it, the monk gear, you have to have your job soul equipped, all the other gear is really pugilist gear, and you can wear it as a monk, because even as a monk, you are still a pugilist. A lot of the street thug looking armor fits pugilists, because they are street thugs, your class guild is home to gamblers, bookies, and loansharks.

Indeed. I yearn for the day that mnk AF2 makes it to the game. i will wear it with pride. for now it looks like i may stick with melee glamour. Black Miquotes look good in melee armor.

I would have to say the pants are a little flashy for my taste and if they were just plain instead would be way better and little more flat would be good too.

Gear in Final Fantasy XIV representing character designs from past Final Fantasy games is a good thing in my opinion. I'm here to play Final Fantasy online after all.
