Zodiac weapons acquisition

So, the new weapons have a Atma suffix as opposed to Zenith... If we are to speculate, perhaps we will have to face Atma weapon? Many of you FF hardcore gamers know who Atma weapon was...What really gets me curious is the fact these are called "Zodiac Weapons" as in the Zodiac, as in 12 signs and looking at the patch notes there are 12 Atma drops each one related to a Zodiac sign...There are 9 jobs in the game.. There are 3 Zodiac drops more than jobs.. Are we going to be required to gather all 12 drops for 1 weapon? Or are we been hinted something out there? Before we shut down the second speculation, remember how prior to FFXIV 2.0 being launched, the Scholar was hinted with an image before SE confirmed it.

I really really want you to be right about 3 new jobs however it is probably just that you need all 12 per one weapon, ya know Zodiak weapon so you need the whole Zodiak.

I remember my first time fighting Atma weapon. Died like 10 times before I finally beat him. The music was super cool during that fight.

wasn't there a trick/exploit to fighting atma weapon? Like cast invisible on him and send him to the x-zone or something?

It looks really like a neat concept. Isn't there more than one path as well? So perhaps you could tweak your weapon to the kind that you want. (like say if you wanted one with more hit or something)

I hope it takes a while to complete. When I played the game at launch, the relic questline was kind of a downer. Even back before people knew exactly how Titan HM worked, it maybe took me a week to get some competent people to do it with me? So here I am, like one week into 50 and I already had the best weapon in the game pretty much. I'm not even a very good player, I was the last of all of my friends that started the game with me to get to 50. I like taking my time. I don't like to spend all day logged in. But still, a week was way too fast. It was like four months before I would get any weapon that was better.

Getting the best weapons in some of the other Final Fantasy single player games took longer! It's the journey not the destination!

He died when his MP ran out and Rasp and Osmose did a number on that.

Also Vagrant story is connected to the Ivalice games... cause it takes place in Ivalice.

The Trials of the Braves is a collection of sacred texts spanning nine books, each of which contains a series of objectives for enhancing your relic weapon atma. They can be acquired by exchanging Allagan tomestones with G'jusana at Revenant's Toll.

Each book will appear in the Key Items section of your inventory. By vanquishing all the foes listed therein with your relic weapon atma equipped, your weapon will undergo evolution.

Upon fulfilling the objectives of all nine books, your weapon will be ready to complete its evolution and become a relic weapon animus?one step closer to one of the transcendent Zodiac Weapons.

Technically We already did fight him. Atma Weapon is Ultima Weapon, There was a translation error. But its not like they couldn't add it......

Pretty sure the Atmas are more of a reference to FFXI since they were obtained in a similar way (defeating high level monsters) and while they weren't applied to weapons in XI they were applied to your character in certain zones (had a capacity to equip 3 at a time). Seems like they'll be used for weapons this time around in FFXIV along with a nice touch of mixing it with a reference to FFT's lore of the Zodiac Braves. Really nice to see them reuse the name Atma of the Lion though since it dropped off a Elsamoth (Behemoth variant) in FFXI named Hadhayosh. Doubt that means anything as far as what drops it in FFXIV though.

I just hope there's no need to proc Red for these Atmas to drop lol.
