I should just cancel my subscription, that will show the devs that I mean business. Something must be done IMMEDIATELY! This game is heading down a slippery-slope. What's next, are they going to change "Raubahn" to "Stephen?" I hope all you horrible casuals are happy, you are officially ruining the game.

    Disgusting! If NPCs are allowed to change their names willy-nilly, what's going to stop them from harassing PCs and just changing their names to dodge their bad reputation. If Square Enix didn't like the NPC name, they should have thought long and hard about the name to begin with, or made a new NPC. It's not like 3D modeling and texturing is that hard, they could do it in an afternoon if they really tried.

    I can't believe it's 2014 and this is still a problem in MMOs.
