However crafters/gatherers have a lot LESS going for them than DoW/M classes. So it sucks that one of the cooler (and useful) items from 1.0 has been reduced to a vanity item. Its like we're taking steps back not forward with DoH/L. So much fun potential with crafting and gathering having their own classes .... wasted.

Well DoH/DoL also had more to them in 1.0 than now. So it is sad, but somehow to be expected, that those tools just don't cut it anymore.

I'm using ARR as the baseline with that statement, because that's the game we're playing.

I'm playing Final Fantasy XIV. Just because you weren't there doesn't mean it didn't happen. If you can state an arbitrary point in the game's life as the baseline, so can I.
