This all sounds about par for the course. Although your accomplishment question isn't vague or generic enough.Let's see... generic questions generic questions...
Heya Yoshi-P!
When will we get Chocobos?
Heya Yoshi-P!
Will the Market Wards be here in the game in the future or it'll be scrapped?
Heya Yoshi-P!
We will get in some cases "Prizes" for accomplishing some Achievements. How will be prizing done and what will we receive most likely (in term of Type of object)?
Heya Yoshi-P!
Will we get classes that play Music or just the job Bard that plays music?
Heya Yoshi-P!
I finished my questions. Can you ask me a question?
Thanks earlier for the answers! See ya!
and yoshi answer with
We will looking into it!~
Dance like you mean it !
They said they would not answer questions concerning the future of the game.
They want more personal questions about the development team, how they work, etc ...
As you can see, I am not Yoshi-P. I do, however, believe to have the faculty to respond to your questions and I will try to do so in the most in-depth matter that I can.
"Please wait a little while longer"
"Once the server adjustements have been done, you can ask me this again and I will tell you to please wait a little while longer"
"We will consider this"
"Due to balancing issues we will not implement this"
"Please wait a little while longer?"

Wow sure am glad they're spending their time playing Gossip Girl instead of working on the goddamn patch they've been promising for all of eternity now.
And yes that was an overstatement, just saying that before someone attacks me on the definition of "eternity" and designs a timetable to fully explain how indeed they did not promise the patch "eternity" ago.

I seriously hope this is inaccurate. I don't care about how the team works. I care about the quality of what they've finished.
Except they haven't finished anything yet.
It seems to be fairly accurate, at least from the german topic: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...Team-in-Japan-!
Specifically the part that says:
Google Translates to:Bitte bedenkt, dass Fragen bezüglich der Zukunft des Spiels (Update-Zeitplan oder geplante Inhalte) höchstwahrscheinlich nicht beantwortet werden. Alle anderen, generellen Fragen an die Teammitglieder sind jedoch willkommen, genauso wie Fragen an bestimmte Personen. "
Please remember that questions about the future of the game (or scheduled content update schedule) probably answered no. All other general questions to the team members are welcome, as are questions to specific people.
And of course Google is no source of good translation but I doubt the basic idea is far from the truth.
Aditionally in this post: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...664#post214664
The community rep mentions:
Again this is google translator but it looks really accurate regardless.Thank you again for all these questions (especially early in the morning!). Please continue
As announced at the beginning of this thread will be very difficult to get answers about the future of the game I know you are very likely to want to know what is being prepared, the improvements can be made (both in servers that the game client), unfortunately most of the topics discussed are still under review, I will be impossible to provide a response on matters not finalized.
So yeah basically no game news allowed, at all.

Well, basically they said they are at SE headquarters in Tokyo and will collect all of our questions until Thursday, then ask the devs about them. They really asked us NOT to ask questions about update schedules, future content, etc.
French players just started asking about that anyway and Germans didn't ask anything because they had no questions NOT concerning future content.
So the community rep said it's okay to ask about future content and release schedules because it's better than not asking anything, but most likely those questions won't be answered.
Yeah so basically they think we actually care about Yoshi's hobbies and Matsuda's pets rather than tell us what's gonna happen with the game we're trying to enjoy.Well, basically they said they are at SE headquarters in Tokyo and will collect all of our questions until Thursday, then ask the devs about them. Good stuff.

I'll risk being called a fangirl and just say it:
What exactly do we want to ask they actually can answer?
Most things we want to know about, we already got an answer to:
Either "We are working on it." or "We'll think about it."
While this may sound like an excuse and running away from the question, not really giving us the feeling they really are working on it and not giving us a fixed date of release either, it actually answers the question.
I know people are getting impatient, but there's just no way to clearly say when something which takes a lot of programming/balancing/etc. will be ready for release.
So there are two ways to approach this: Either give the players some certain date to make them shut up, but get all of their rage when you are not able to stick to the date you set, or give the players no fixed date at all, let them keep ranting about how they and their wishes are ignored by you and without further notice, give them some nice updates they waited for. While I can't say I prefer any of these, it's obvious Yoshi-P's team decided to stick with the second version.
Meaning they won't tell us when something will be released or how it will be like.
So asking about it is pointless. But they still squeeze in some time for player's questions so we don't feel neglected, although they won't tell us fixed release dates or changes they may be planning, to not disappoint us if they are not able to live up to the expectations or finish the changes in time.
