    Rat Tails

    Hello All,

farming Wharf Rats for tails is getting a bit silly. Does anyone know of a mob to farm that drops multiples? In a decent concentration so i wouldn't need to sit waiting for respawns?

many fish have rat tails as their preferd bait. and I am having an issue with finding a spawn that will provide me with this bait faster than simply using a generic bait/lure that no fish in the area finds tasty.

    Thank you for any suggestions

Gnats drop 5~10 rat tails in one drop. You can farm it at that room NW of Mun-Tuy, a room full of gnats r30 near north exit. Its also a good spot if you have a lass r25ish so you can rank up while farming ^^

Keep in mind that the gnats in Mun-Tuy are sidequest mobs and have a very long respawn time.

Speaking of rat tails, is there a good fishing spot anywhere to use them as a R15 fisher?

Bloodshore. You have breams that prefer rat tails.

But at such low rank i'd rather get syrphrid basket (extremely easy to farm north from Horizon) and go fish in Horizon or at that bugged grade 7 lake southeast from Ul'dah...its a grade 7 lake but has only grade 1/2 fishes so you actually can fish there with baskets or other low rank freshwater bait/lures (like chocobo fly) from 1~50.

Also, with baskets you can fish brass looch there, that is one of the hottest lightning shard fishes.
