There were some memory issues for PS3, thats one of reason why is terrain mostly copy and pasted to save PS3 memory. Anyway I think adding unique trees, grass, plants, bushes, rocks, small glowy lake, tiny stone ruins - few stones (from ancestors)... here and there would cover a bit copy and paste terrain.

as long as the landscape varies enough and has some real landmarks, most of the copy-pasted comments would dissapear.

Encampments will add a little bit of variety. Enough to quell all the whining? Doubtful, but they will still bring a little more diversity into a world that desperately needs it.

little lampposts(etc) & certain vegetation will clear this up easy. However black shroud does need redesign, i don't think adding to it could change it because of how it's designed.
