Relic Weapons and Glamour system

Looks like you can buy base relics from the Calamity Salvager now, so you can glamour the glow-less weapon. You can't buy the Zenith directly, but I'd imagine you can buy the base and re-upgrade it with mists (since that's not a quest) if you want to glamour the Zenith (if it even gets destroyed for the Zodiacs).

I'm not sure I understood this.
By "base relics" you mean the weapon version you get before beating Primals and buying that 900philo-special-oil (don't remember the name) you need to obtain the Relic?
Now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind having my SMN's and SCH's being changed, but I'd hate losing my thyrus ... I love it.

No, I mean the relic. The non-zenith.

Quest and event items that are only awarded once may now be purchased from the Calamity salvager NPC.
