To the Tank who left our Darkhold group

    and tanks like you

Please get out of the queue. When you want to hit "Register For Duty", just don't. No one cares that you are trying to take advantage of the fact that tanks are in high demand by trying to bully people into the group into doing things your way. Your group is better off without you.

You know what happened when you left because a WHM was doing DPS on a set of ridiculously low damage pulls (low damage as in incoming damage on the tank)? Welllll, we went and killed all the trash without a tank, the WHM solo'd a boss, and two players in the group requeued in different roles to help another player get their roulette bonus.

Our adventure was a bit long to record on video and share with you all, but here are some pictures of our most recent visit to the Dzemael Darkhold.

I am not naming the tank player and I don't believe that they have been named, and I apologize if they have been. But your behavior is reprehensible and I hope that you and players like you are receiving this message clearly.

When I first started tanking I really didn't like it when players did this. But you know what? No one died, so it wasn't a problem. And you know what else? I didn't try to use the fact that I could make the dungeon crawling experience of other players a lot less arduous to bully my groups into doing things my way.

I'd be a little more sympathetic if you were even losing half of your health without healing on these pulls but you never even dipped below 3k.

And before we move onto "we shouldn't be criticizing the limited amount of tanks we have", I am a tank and such players are not worthy of any role in a party, much less the tank, if this is the way they are going to act in a group environment. I'd rather wait an hour for a group than to have to play with someone who thinks it's okay to act like that.

I've encountered some really rude, pushy tanks that leave dungeons at the drop of a hat and it annoys the heck out of me that they abuse their instant-queue privileges like it's their job (pun intended). For the most part I just let it go (nowadays I mostly queue DF as a healer, times aren't that bad), but this really ruins the gaming experience for a lot of people, most notably DPS and casual players who can't waste 30 minutes-1 hour just waiting to play. Waiting for DF to pop can really put a damper on other in-game activities,
"should I start this levequest now...?" etc.

Anyway, hopefully SE starts imposing a penalty on people who do this and also the tanks that spam for in-progress dungeons.

Had tank that got into Brayflox Longstop using roulette and ask, do you guys want to run this, I told him of course, I queue for it.
A tank that drop Halatali cause he was failing terribly to hold agro and no we were not attacking as soon as he pull, we waited for him to gain enmity first, he drop without a word before first boss, and we proceed to continue and clear it with me tanking as Archer.
Tank that drop WP for whatever reason, left and Aurum Vale group, we waited for another tank but doesn't seems like going to happen so we had to abandon.

I have a warrior as well, I never ever leave any dungeon I got into throughout levelling, and really none of the dungeon are hard to tank as long as you don't go gung-ho and run in gun blazing and hope the healer can keep you alive. Play your class well and all those dungeon are easy to tank and doesn't really take too long to finish, you choose to play a tank, so tank whatever dungeon you got into, your time is not anymore important than other players that queue for it.

I've tanked for years in a different World of something, and while I can understand your issues, those people are just... well, just ignore them.

disclaimer: I've not yet ventured into Coil!
Tanking in this game, especially as a Paladin (which I'm maining, because I love my shiny armors and shields) is so damned easy in most cases. Like, really, if my stun would be off the global cd I could brain-afk everything pre-Titan HM. However, some people just refuse to use Flash (LOL, DOESNT DO DAMAGE NOOB), don't get into any stance at all (much less a defensive one), are not using their jobcrystal (DOESNT MAKE A DIFFERENCE LUL) etc.

If you meet one of those people, or an egocentric morron like the first post mentioned, just pity them and/or try to help them, though most people are immediately raging when you tell them they could improve their gameplay by using a skill...

As a tank being my only level 50 at the moment. I honestly agree with this. To this date i haven't left a duty for idiotic reasons. If it's personal and it's important, i atleast state why i must leave. If they understand thats great, and if they don't i hate to say that they cannot change the outcome. Just 1 hour ago i actually ACCIDENTALLY quened for Amdapor keep haha. I had no choice to do it because the healer was near myth and philo cap. And come on i can't say no to a small cute lalafell..... But yeah i understand where your coming from. I don't use my job to throw authority around. And neither should others.

Oh I feel you. I have accidentally queued for things and then just done it (if I was a tank or healer) because I don't want to leave a party in the lurch. It's really not a huge time commitment...

Always double-check what you queued for, because that insta-queue can make you (okay, me) a little brain-dead and I'll usually just hit Commence without checking to see what popped.

Another thing that hurts is when your FCmate/friend asks for help because their tank dropped the dungeon, and even though you don't really like that dungeon a lot (or much at all, really), you queue in progress because you love your friend, and end up in a completely different party, but you don't want to be *that* tank, so you stay and do your job. -.-

What if all those tanks are actually 1 guy, and he's searching for his true love who he met online in XI, but got her soul stolen by the game developer and placed in XIV - trapped until her true love finds her and defeats the game developer?

Did you ever stop to consider that? You're all so selfish. Shame on you! SHAME!!

There are tons of bullies that think they are extra special on this game and it makes them a superstar. I'd be willing to bet most of them are a failure irl and they are taking it out on others. That or their mommies forgot to put them down for a nap that day. I've met plenty of truly excellent players that always keep a cool head when things are going wrong or try to explain things if they see something. Those are the people that should get bonuses and instaqueues IMO.

I am a Tank and I have had some really bad abuse from people in the past for not holding agro (like the odd slip up) and taking on everything thing in the dungeon (I want the exp and loot) I would never leave though because its not fair to those who are not giving me grief and just want to play the game, like me. If we wipe and its my fault I will apologise.
