Rothlyt Sound - where is it really?

Hi voidsent friends in the localisation team!

Limsa Lominsa, a nation founded by pirates, has caught me by surprise - their navigation and map reading skills are either really lacking, or there is something majorly wrong with the Eorzean maps! I am talking about the Rothlyt Sound - which is located on the opposite side of Eorzea.

First, there are the monsters, such as the Rothlyt Pelican, located around Aleport in La Noscea. There are also Rothlyt Oysters fished around La Noscea, as well. Thirdly, there is also this strange comment about wind coming down from the Rothlyt Sound to dry harvests at the Red Rooster Stead:

Before grain can be milled into flour, it must be dried. During the Sixth Astral Era, we would dry our wheat in the dry salt winds that came down the Rothlyt Sound. The past five years, however, those winds have been warm and wet. Not only does it prevent the grain from drying properly, but it breeds mold. For this reason, we have opted to abandon the traditional methods of drying for a new technique using the cores from wind sprites. Drying is much quicker and more efficient, the only drawback being that none of us here at the Grey Fleet are competent enough with a blade to procure the cores ourselves. So, we must ask the aid of adventurers.
Does this leve text mean the Straight of Merlthor or the Indigo Deep? They would seem more likely to me?
Thank you for solving this geographical challenge!

Rest assured that the geography of Eorzea has not been radically altered. The text will be revised to state that it is the Strait of Merlthor in a future update. Thanks!

Thanks for the information! By chance, and mostly out of curiosity, will there be changes to the pelican names as well?

Feels weird dragging this out of the bin, but I just noticed it independently (tied to another issue).

The Ziz seem to be called Pelicans when found in La Noscea, as is the case of the Rothlyt Pelican, but it's nowhere near Rothlyt Sound and I suspect that this is an error back from when several things in Lominsa mistakenly said Rothlyt instead of Merlthor (as opposed to the Rothlyt Oyster, which are just biggest around Rothlyt but found everywhere). So, quite possibly, as was the case with the levequest, this should be a Merlthor Pelican (assuming there's not another named in Western La Noscea better suited)... but there's more.

Nearby the "Rothlyt" Pelicans is a FATE called Absolutely, Positively in which mobs identical to them show up... except they're called Axe Beaks for some reason. Perhaps copied and pasted form a Thanalan area without a name change to Rothlyt Pelican? Which might actually be meant to be Merlthor Pelican? lol

Mob names not matching mob skins or locations is a common issue, though. I find them still, on occasion. The trouble is that, in many cases, it's also wrong in the JP version, so it's technically not an English Localization issue. For instance, the Copperbell Nix doesn't have Nix skin, it has Gigantoad skin. Magitek model numbers used to match their armor, lack thereof, and coloring and now not so much. Lots of little things like that still hanging around in all 4 languages.
