Zodiac Weapon Speculation

Not really much has been said about Zodiac weapons other than they will grow from 2.2 to 2.25 and finally to 2.3. Since its only about two days away til servers go down I'm curious what people speculate on these. Since it seems there will be 3 versions I'm guessing 100 in 2.2, 110 in 2.25 and 115 to equal Allagan weapons in 2.3. I'm guessing final one simply since the patch after Coil update is suppose to be a gear catch up for those who haven't cleared it yet. And it seems Yoshi somewhat realized mistake with Relics and may possibly make the Zodiacs a lot harder. It could also possibly be 100-105-110. I'm just hoping though Zodiac is 115 in the end because the customizable stats could be amazing. Being on a weapon though, weapon damage highly over rules any stats.

What's everyone else's thoughts?

I'm thinking Zodiak weapons will only go up to ilvl 110 till 2.25. After that, it could go up to 115. Also, I believe he mentioned Zodiak weapons will be upgradable even after 2.3.

Horizontal Progression means that there are multiple choices at x level for you to use. Like how you have the Relic Zenith and Myth Weapons. Both have the same iLvl and give roughly the same stats with a bit of difference between the two. Allagan and AF2 armor gear is another example, especially with how some people run mixed sets as BiS. So its basically, give me more options to choose from while I'm at Level 50 with ilvl 90 gear or some such.

Zodiac so far, is a form of Vertical Progression, it just keeps moving up, but has the potential to become Horizontal if it allows for multiple pieces of nearly the same quality. Like Zodiac Grimoire for Summoner A could give 40 int and 42 Spell Speed while Zodiac Grimoire for Summoner B could give 42 Int and 40 Spell Speed (taking the customization route as a potential to play with stats a bit.)

Long story short, not every bad and their Auntie are going to have BiS weapons, there will be a relatively simple way to distinguish good players from bad, hopefully.

I think you mean a way to tell which players have the most time to play. Sounds like it's going to be a big time sink, which is why Yoshi doesn't think many will have them by the next patch.

I'm hoping this new one goes to i115 in 2.2, and beyond later. Otherwise it'll be something to just do current quests "maybe" until or after we clear T6-9 to get allagan.

In which case they again make allagan better than relic until much later.

Tons of people been clearing T5 with no weapon.
