SE Old CE Security Token HELP

Hey guys! so I had the old FFXIV CE and it came with a security token. I tried to register it or add it back to my account but the serial code on the back is invalid. I remember using it wayyy back in FFXIV "1.0" but decided it was too much a hassle and I never had gotten hacked before so.. took my chances and took it off. But now with "2.2' I kinda want to use again maybe just for a free teleport for the little bit more hassle but like I mentioned I cant add it!! I tried talking to a agent via the online chat but he said he couldnt do anything. That's pretty dumb, I dont remember anywhere that ever said I cant use it again!! Anyone had this issue too and figure out what to do? I dont wanna have to buy another token really... and I dont got no android phone ;_;

Yes I believe once you use (register) the token then take it off then it becomes invalid. I was going to use the android app for the digital token but found out I had to first cancel the key chain token which I use for both FFXI and FFXIV. Sucks but sorry :/

Suxxors. >< Hopefully I can use my phone, its not really a android phone but i used a security token software like thing idea with World of Warcraft before on a old ghetto phone, if not gonna suxxorsx2. maybe Itll work with my samsung mp3? >< guess ill find out soon.

Yea the security token is voided once you remove it and the software token is a smartphone app that only available on iphone app store or android market.

* After removing a Security Token, you will not be able to use it again. If you wish to use a Security Token in the future, you will need to purchase a new one.

I know they say that, but you might try calling anyway. The worst they can do is say no, and I'm faiirrly certain I re-used one before. >.>

Yeah, it's always been that way unfortunately. I'm sure it makes sense for security in some form or fashion. In any case, I believe you can get the android app on any device running android 2.2 or higher. I think phones are probably just the most common, but I don't see why it wouldn't work on an android tablet, for instance. Following the same train of thought, it might be possible to use an android emulator for Windows to use the application on your desktop. I don't have any personal experience with it and use the physical one time password key chain so I can't really try it out, but I figured it might be worth mentioning.
