Lets talk new Mounts!

Don't see a thread on page 1 about this...and it's exciting news for us! Lets talk mounts and what info we know so far!!!

In 2.2 there will be 2 mounts for tanks. A Brown Bear for Warrior and a White Lion for Paladins.

We don't have much info, but what was translated from Yoshi.

"It's for those who worked hard from before"
"they got the mount from doing that"

So, lets discuss!

My boyfriend, Roegadyn PLD is hoping that the lion really does resize to roegadyn size haha, and isn't like the Coeurl, and drake mounts, being too small.

2 new class mounts + 4 new primal mounts (the 4 elemental horses)

My mount roulette is gonna be rockin'

Also the Lion reminds me of TERA and the bear reminds me of Grand Fantasia (F2P MMO that's probably dead atm because of the developers)

Bear mount does not carry you....

Bear mount moves Eorzea to the position that you desire.

Thanks for the picture upload, I can't wait for the bear. I still have my Fantasia potion...I'm half tempted to go lalafel...BEAR CAVALRY!

I for one am very happy that S-E are continuing the MLP tributes in FFXIV with those colourful new mounts.

I'm also looking forward to posing atop my bear. He's had it a long time coming.

the unicorn mount definately resizes so probably.

Uhh...they're just horses (NOT Unicorns) with the same colors as the Primal they drop from...
Or, as someone else noticed, are close (blue one throws this :\) to the four horses of the apocalypse.




Anyway, was thinking...have an odd feeling that you may only be able to use these as the class its given. Or that you have to tank a certain amount each week on that class to use them. Would be interesting, anyway.

That's an interesting idea, but I think they'll just do it like they did for whm mount.

The amount of coding can be pretty ridiculous, and imagine the number of conditions they would have to take into account, and how would you determine the amount of time spent as a tank? At the end of the day, if that were true, people would just stand around AFKed as a tank class. Lol!
