Anima just wouldn't make sense.
Anima is the Aeon stemming from Seymour's mother (a Fayth).
The only way for it to work in FF14 is for Anima to be created as a completely new summon/Primal/Aeon/whatever with a completely different backstory.
I dunno about you, but that kinda defeats the purpose.
