I understood the choice to keep the races VERY similar. The familiarity thing makes picking a character much easier for those of us who played XI. But it also invite comparison to XI even more than would be warranted anyhow.
However, in XI, people had been asking for male mithra and female galka (nevermind that there was no such thing as a female galka) for a long long time. And in WOTG they even showed us male mithras. So why, after all this time, did they still chose to make those two races single-gendered. It's almost.... mean.
