as much as i like the PS3 controller i broke down and got this http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Xbox...er+for+windows it comes with the wireless receiver can get it at best buy and price match it to amazon. My PS3 controller/usb charger everytime i moved it would disconnect and after plugging it back in FFXIV wouldn't recognize it, went the bluetooth dongle way worked great UNTIL i had to charge the remote with USB cable and it would count as a different remote... and i'd have to restart FFXIV i got tired of all the bullshit got the xbox360 remote then got the play and charge kit for 20$. Later on got a Xbox360 wirless controller with a "Transformable D-pad" off a kid i know for 10$ way more accurate that the normal one i got with the wireless dongle.

Use BETTER DS3 TOOL.

Not the motioninjoy one.

Much more stable, cleaner interface. Doesn't have the ability to download things by itself.
Also gives more freedom to map keys to buttons, etc.

Using it and Xpadder I can activate around 40 abilitys w/ different combinations of button presses(rather than swapping displayed hotbars)

You need the motioninjoy driver, so download it, install the driver, and then uninstall the Motioninjoy DS Tool program.(without removing the driver)
