Please compare JP servers and NA servers. Make a temporary character in a JP server if you want. You will notice there is NO RMT spam. I have not received an RMT tell for over 3 months. There were lots of RMT tells during the first 1-2 months of the game, but it fizzled out after that.
Can anyone think of why? Because it obviously worked in JP servers.

I have to admit that this is quite true. Moving from us to jp server and almost no RMT annoyance. Almost, since about last week, I got a /t from one. But overall, it is a huge difference. Please compare JP servers and NA servers. Make a temporary character in a JP server if you want. You will notice there is NO RMT spam. its called supply and demand.
obviously there is more of a demand on US/EU servers then on JP
also JP dont play. u aggravate them and they will report it. EN players give up too often (myself included) due to the inconvenience of it all.
play a JP game and you will see that even if it took 30 mins to report someone.... it will be done.

Yoshi admitted himself - NA/EU players tend to rather "pay 2 to win" than want to pay for a subscription, so it's honestly no surprise that RMT spam is more on here. I noticed this as well, and it's not because RMT are "nicer" on JP servers lol. Please compare JP servers and NA servers. Make a temporary character in a JP server if you want. Probably because RMT are generally bots that can't type Japanese or how about the chance that the JP players don't care about purchasing Gil while NA evidently do. If nobody bought Gil, they would leave, it's that simple. Please compare JP servers and NA servers. Make a temporary character in a JP server if you want. You will notice there is NO RMT spam. Erm..No. Not only can Japanese players understand website URLs, but most farmers are Chinese who can barely speak or understand English - Bots can speak whatever language you program into it and it is insanely easy to create a bot that type in multiple languages.

Lol.... what??? Um no...Its because there is a large amount of NA/EU players that are impatient and have a 'I Want It now!!!!' attitude. JP players are more likely to grind and earn/attain item themselves rather than looking for a way to have it handed to them.
You really believe that JP players do no wrong?
They are just as shady as the rest of the playerbase. Lack of advertisement doesn't mean RMT isn't happening, they have different companies with different tactics.

Nobody said they can do no wrong, there's just an obvious rift when it comes to stuff like this.As far as the montly billing goes, people are becoming more pragmatic and they're only willing to pay for the things that they want to use. What that means to monthly billing is that there are players who would rather pay based on the amount of time they play in a particular month, after they've played. There used to be no debate about this, since monthly billing was the only standard for MMORPGs, but now F2P is a consideration. We see this desire for players who would rather buy items especially in North America.
