Thread: More options for DPS in 2.2?

I don't mean to be that jerk, I don't know if this is your first mmo, but I notice people who complain about dps getting left behind tend to be newer to mmos. Most of the population picks dd, there are only 4 dd jobs, and only one of them is a caster, and also only one of them is a melee ranged. So there's not a lot of options right now for jobs, but in all reality dps is about 60% of all players, healers are about 30, catch my drift here? So tank = insta queue, always have room for the tank, but dps its like "they fill up super fast", I'd recommend leveling up a whm/pld on the side, nothing to serious, it also will give you a bit of the healing/tanking perspective, and playing all 3 roles just makes you better even when you go back to dps, cause you'll understand the fight more.

Again just saying, I don't want to be a jerk, that says "omg dps lol, of course there is a ton of you", but...there is some merit to that. All I can say as a main healer in my FC, is that I appreciate a good dps, so there are tons of dps, but 90% of them suck, if you can get into an FC and be one of the really good dps (geared out, knows your roto), people will always bring you. My friend plays bard and whm. I play sch mainly, I always want him to come bard so I know I have a brd that in t4 knows when to play his songs, as opposed to a brd who is just going to faceroll the whole time.

So best advice, make sure you are on the top of your brd game, knowing what songs to use when, and what roto is best, join a good fc, and I bet they'll bring you all the time. Dps is easy to find, but an actually good dps is rare, same reason people can't do t4, yet it could be done in DL, they're are i80-90 brds who can't even output the same dmg as a good brd in DL cause they didn't learn their job.
