That's alot of work just to get one brand of controller to work with a PC. If you're buying an Xbox One controller JUST for use with a PC, don't bother. There's vastly cheaper USB controllers out there that work just fine out-of-the-box with no needless driver or third-party app installs.

If you already have an Xbox One controller from an existing Xbox One, this seems a good attempt at getting it to work. But that dead zone issue is a pretty sizable deal-breaker. I have to refer to my opening comments in this case.
