Into 13 and people just didn't want to admit it Seriously though, it went "wrong" when 13 came around because people didn't expect it to be completely classic in a 'modern' era. People just didn't remember how linear FF games truly are.

I've played them all, and honestly the only one which I think was horrible was x-2. Although I do prefer the older ones, I think 13 was pretty good considering it drastically deviated from the original. But then again so did 8, and I love 8 as one of the best ones. I love the FF games, and ARR gives me hope for epic future releases still. 3 series will never die for me. Zelda, Smash Brothers xD and Final Fantasy. The thing is most people are nostalgic about the games they played as kids or teens and now this 'new' stuff sucks, when it really doesn't. It's just different. They can't copy paste their old stuff the whole time, they need to make new things. I'm just hoping for a Final Fantasy set in the time frame of like 6 to be released one day with current gen, tech. Swords, shields, magic, espers and a fkn good time!
