Titan HM needs a change for those who can't devote all their time to this game.

While I am up for a challenge this roadblock towards my relic is actually making me think about quitting the game. A bit drastic you might think but It is really giving me a headache and a game shouldn't do that. Challenge yes, complete halt until you organise a group of people with reflexes faster than a cheetah on a laggy server? no.

It can take 2 hours to get a full group for Titan HM and if only a slight change was made to the DF it would be a lot quicker.

My ideas:

Duty Finder - ilvl65 minimum, 1 tank, 5 dps, 2 heals
Duty Finder - Either lower HP on heart for DF groups OR a removal of an ability in phase 5, even one less landslide or weight of the land (by this I mean one less plume, 2 rather than 3 due to the lack of space) would help on that rotation.


SE for those who do not have the time to devote to the game...how about an alternative to Titan HM? eh? something, even just a few less HP on his heart might help.

Yoshida has already said that he designed this game with 2 types of gear progression: progress to current i90 via Binding Coil of Bahamut (and recently, Extreme Primals), or you can use Myth. For players who can't devote all their time into the game to practice or even do raids/farms on BC/Primal EX, then you are free to run easy dungeons like WP/AK/CT for you myth tomes during your own free time and you still can gear yourself to i90 which will be then severely overgearred for Titan HM. You don't even need full DL to run WP now to get your myths. Given this option to obtain i90 gears and yet you still need Titan HM to be nerfed, something is really wrong somewhere.

I don't really want to be mean, but... might as well make relic quest to be some super idiotic delivery boy quest that makes you teleport here and there 100 times running from one end to another, rinse and repeat for 10-20hrs and the game hands you your relic weapon.

Uhh, if you can't beat Titan HM, you're locked out from doing either of those even if you wanted to try.

The thing is for a lot of people the issues isn't them, its the other players. I have no issue tanking Titan, its damn easy for a tank tbh. However I have to rely on other people to dps him. That's my point.

The issue is that people who beat Titan HM then refuse to help others by spouting the same nonsense you all have so now I am stuck with pugging in PF and only other relic hunters join. it's a catch 22.

I was posting what the flamers are going to say. But it is a fact that he will be unable to experience the other parts of the game until he gets past Titan HM.

Endgame Trials and Raids pretty much require you to be in a competent FC or have a huge pool of friends to play with on a costant basis.

It's not even about Elitism really. It's more about how the game is designed and supposed to be played. Back in October i was in your exact same spot: i was a Pld who could not beat Titan HM no matter how hard i tried, because Duty Finder groups and even groups made on my server were simply terrible. What i did was to apply to an FC interested in Endgame raiding and that was it. Now i farm EX Primals on a weekly basis, oneshot Titan EX with ease and Titan HM is just a cakewalk for us.

If you want to avoid that kind of frustration, you need to find a proper group to play with for these kind fights. If you do not, well then yes, maybe this game is not for you, or you've to undestand that you'll always have to deal with this kind of frustration if you keep tackling these encounters with DF and PF groups.

How do we kill him a few months ago ? Without any relic, usualy with at most a full DL stuff. You're whining that you're playing alone in your small corner and can't do everything ? HOLY HELL, THIS IS A MMO, PLAYING WITH PEOPLE IS REQUIRED.

Seriously, you cannot find 7 people in your FC to help you ? Then, perhaps, you should consider to leave ?

I feel bad for people stuck on this because the fight is a joke in comparison to Titan Ex, I actually join the DF parties to help them with this but when the same people make the same mistakes over and over.

When i was working on my first relic i found this hard... but after practice practice and more practice i know the fight so well I rarely get hit and if i do it's out of sheer laziness.

My only suggestion would be to keep the same group if you can and practice together, if the same people keep derping replace them because 99% of the time it will be "sorry i got lag" and guess what, those people will always have lag and will always cause the party to fail.
