Zooming out on PS3 vs PC

Is there a reason why we can't zoom out as far on the PS3 as the PC can? Watching Titan videos, the PC version looks a lot more relaxed of a fight than the panicked camera spinning involved in the PS3 version. (Also, Ifrit HM would be a breeze if you could see where the safe zones are)

Hardware limitations might be a little more relevant if you're wandering the Shroud, but I don't really know why you wouldn't be able to zoom out in the Navel.

Are there any plans to change this? Does anyone know of any way to ease the zooming woes?

The PS3 version let's you zoom out just as far as you can on the PC version.

Indeed I've not noticed a difference playing on both versions. Maybe it's just the videos seem that way

I'm also playing on PS3 and at least to me it seems like there's a difference to how far you can zoom out on PS3 and PC. But I think it's because PS3 only has 720p instead of 1080p.

I play on both and it seems like the zoom goes just as far on ps3 as pc to me. I dont even know what the controller way to zoom out is as I still use my keyboard for ps3, so I dunno if that could be some issue, but using page dn on keyboard seems to go just as far on both versions.

To me it felt like they could both zoom out to the same point, but that I can zoom IN a lot further on the PC. Maybe that is just because I am closer to the screen, but that is what it felt like.
