    Step 1: Echo'd by others here, get Swiftcast ASAP.
    Step 2: Get Eye for an Eye.
    Step 3: Don't get overly tunnel visioned when DPSing during downtime on periods when you don't need to heal.
    Step 4: Keep your weapon decently up to date. I was floored when i realized how much difference a good weapon makes on heal potency.

    Basically what he said. Why should I gimp my party by NOT raising people? Raising & immediately healing people to full health after raise is one of the fun things about healing, and I absolutely love the intensity of it at times. Why should I play healer if I plan to just leave people dead and prolong duties and make them tedious? Please don't give people weird advice.
    I admittedly never got swiftcast till 40something, but I did feel I was missing out on something important when I finally got it.
