Thread: Is anyone else really disappointed with the nerfs coming in 2.2?

Axlle, nowhere did I say that they should block casual, or not have content for them. I said a couple of times that I am OK with echo in coil.

My biggest beef is with them nerfing already not-hard content and content that has only been out for 3 months.

How are they currently blocking people from anything? Blocking would be like in XI where they had a literally unbeatable boss. That is not the case here.

I have no interest in being able to say I am the only one who beat anything. Anyone who knows me knows I struggle like anyone else. But never once did I, while busting my ass at Titan Ex, or T5 say I wanted a nerf, or that I wish I had some sort of buff. I wanted to be able to do it, myself, with no help but that of my comrades. Is it so terrible that I wish that other players had the same sense of pride in their accomplishments?

Do you play VTECH games? Probably not, why would you, they're brainless right? Who wants to play anything that they can do without thinking?

I would understand changes if a new xpac were out and they wanted to make new content available to those who had not beaten old.

There will be extremes, there will be Leviathan, there will be Coil. But the changes to FATES and AK blow my mind.

Other players do not care of what YOU wish for them. Honestly. Not being mean there. You are just not entitled to decide/wish/want anything for them.

I never said what other people should think, just how I feel. I can wish whatever I want to want/wish whatever I want. Doesn't mean they have to wish/want or even consider the same thing.

I've understood you. I just wanted to point out that your opinion has no value in other people's mind if they don't care about the buff/nerf.

As an exemple, I could talk about Titan Ex. I once thought I would be proud to defeat him. I now know I'll use the 5 wipes bonus to get him done once for all and never look back at that poorly designed fight (no fight should be THAT lag-dependent). I will have no sense of achievement. Even if I manage to beat him with no buff and no overgear. I just hate him too much to bother about him.


Other thing : AK nerfs are only here to make the runs faster for those who need it (aka relic quest). The people faring AK nowadays barely see the bees anyway, 2 imminent catastrophe at most, and never get hit by th egolem. These "nerfs" have absolutely no incidence

I would give you 10 likes if I could. I feel the same way about Titan. I could care less about that fight, I just want it done and over with.

That means we can just ignore you then, good to know. He's some stuff for you to chew on.

Fates needed fixing, since the addition of duty roulette, I have seen far more often battles like the chimera in north thalan not being touched because the player base as moved away from fates as a primary method of leveling.

Also while using duty roulette I have seen the type of players in AK change from higher Ilvl's of darklight and above to an avg of sub-darklight down to AF gear. AK is a content gate for GC and Relic weapons and taking away the Fly's will help with getting people past this hurdle. Less used content is always going to be relaxed for people lagging behind.

As for the other trials, Like the EX primals. You already said you don't have a problem with it being done with Coil, so why is it such a problem with these. These are truly optional buffs and only come in effect after a wipe. the current difficulty is still intact. Something tells me this is a hit to your ego, for whatever reason that may be.

which boss is this? I hope you are not referring to Absolute Virtue because if you are I hate to burst your bubble here but he was beaten.

there are no unbeatable bosses in XI, never were. it was always about strategy and job setups with those bosses.

I dont believe they were unbeatable, I believe the players didn't find the strategy and correct job setups to beat them. SE came forth and stated several times that both of them were beatable and this was their answer to the constant cry for challenges the hardcore players kept begging for

making bosses so difficult that they make people ill though is far too extreme. I'm very glad they haven't pulled anything like that in XIV, but don't be terribly surprised if they do, this is SE afterall
