Certain rewards from maps are still expensive because their drop rate is super low. Unless top tier ventures have like a 1% success rate, it in unlikely to be the same for the rewards.

This, my friends, is what we call a logical fallacy. There is no precedent for charging extra for classes and the game was not designed with that in mind.

The exact opposite is true for charging extra for retainers. In 1.0 they cost $1/month, had less storage, and also were planned to be able to level and do stuff for you.
