they do have a place? How do you not understand that? Vanya for healers and casters was a great way to upgrade while we waited for our next i90...OMG and this next patch? Think of this...IMAGINE THIS

CRAFTING is i90 with materia slots making it better then current i90
High Lvl tomes is ilvl 100
This most likely means Crafting i90 will be better then some if not most ilvl 100

If that was ever true, Vanya and the like would have always been more popular than darklight.

However, you must always figure out the the path of least resistance. The majority of people may simply get Mytho/Coil for 90, then jump to 100 with Soldiery and ignore crafted ilevel 90, no matter if they beat the 100 or not.

Min/maxer might be all over penta-melded ilevel 90s, but for the majority, that won't even register as a viable alternative.

If dps checks are tight in the later turns of new coil and hardcore people want to progress faster because they are hitting a brick wall due to dps checks they will invest in ilvl 90 melded gear to be able to get more 110 gear from coil faster.

i can not speak for the community but I for one will be wearing crafted i90 while I wait for 110 to drop...assuming it is better and even with i100 thats only 450 tomes a week, I will have crafted while I wait
