Make friends instead of trying to be a solo only, anti-social gamer? At one point, games of this type were built around interaction of the community. That concept never should have been abandoned and the direct result of that decision is this sort of mentality.
Not everyone got all crafting to 50. Without that you can't HQ reliably, ergo not everyone can craft the gear but onichan lala who never set foot in T5. I will be playing a different game before I'm forced to level every single crafting job to 50 or have to pay for my gear.
It is not happening and I will be here fighting this bs day and night.
You want the best gear work for it, not pay for it.

Who said you had to level a craft to 50 or buy them?
Friends are a amazing thing, it's a shame MMO communities these days seem to shun interaction though.
Not really because this create a huge gameplay issue. If crafting is ilvl100 then the new tomes set is meaningless, if it is ilvl110 then all of coil is meaningless.
I have seen first hand what weak drops do to coil. I had to replace players in my static because Twintania dropped ilvl90 and people were not interested in even trying her. They were good players but because the carrot was not shinny they saw no reason to put any effort with her.
This is exactly what you guys asking for, killing the portion I enjoy the most about this game, progression and a shiny carrot at the end of it.

Enabling crafted gear to be on par with top-tier dunegon drops would make weekly lockouts completely worthless. This way u would do t6-9 in one week playing 24/7 and then unsub (thanks to overgear), and thats less money for devs. And every player would be FORCED to buy the top tier crafted gear if they wanted to start raiding.

As much as I'd like to enslave Excalibur under "Cult Clive" and feed on slave Aether at my whim.. I fear you are correct. Crafted gear should never be the same ilevel as other "best in slot" gear. Even if the crafted gear costs millions of gil and a week to make. All of our content revolves around "gear progression" and item level. Being able to immediately jump to the very end of that progression with a lump of gil is just silly. Especially when you drag RMT into the mix.
Haha, sorry I deleted the post in respect to his privacy as we are no longer on talking terms. Just thought I should inform you why I deleted the post.
It does. It's called Culinary. Otherwise, no thanks. I hated that in WOW, you were forced to gem/enchant all of your gear to be accepted into groups. In this game, people with all 50's have too many sets of armor to be forced to spend all of their gil on materia, etc for a very small (but mandatory) stat boost.
