I've just seen pretty definitive proof that a few groups on my server are Position hacking Twintiana.


I won't mention names or specifics to avoid being accused of grievance, but something should be done.

The lockouts, cooldowns and trolls I have learnt to deal with. But watching people resort to using things like bots and hacks is going to ruin this game.

You, SE, need to take action and instantly suspend first time offenders and give them a real scare, and ban repeat offenders or this will become normal, like it was in XI during 2008-2010. The only way SE rectified the Pos and Bot culture in XI was by huge mass banning and completely changing how the most desired HNMs spawned.

Don't wait that long in XIV, start the investigations now! Put some kind of countermeasure in place.

Why am I so concerned? Well when Neo Nyzul Isle was released, I refused to flee hack and as a result it took me a long time to get a decent and ethical static.

If you let this go you will have a situation where people are actively being asked to position and flee hack.

Heck, I even saw people position hacking in Crystal Tower...... srsly!

There should be an investigation and a ban to every pathetic person who does this. It is a bigger issue than RMT and we have not seen anything from SE about it yet..

Expect world first T9 clear by the same cheaters hours after 2.2 goes live if SE does not take this seriously and start banning and shaming players who abuse such methods. I know SE are capable of tracking every T5 kill, and I'm sure the new turns are fully logged and tracked, we are just missing the investigation part + ban at this point.

Hopefully they do ban them - it's the same hack a certain Linkshell I will not name used to beat Ifrit Extreme in 1.23 and got all the fame and glory for being "the best". Sadly, Yoshi doesn't seem to want to punish people for breaking the rules so you can report it and they'll try to fix the holes like they did with the client, but the people are likely in a big name LS/FC so that'd look bad on SE.

Since XIV has too much spotlight. If this was XI it'd be np, they'd ban entire linkshells and a quarter of a server population for using exploit. Remember Salvage exploit ban? lol.

Everyone that cheats gets banned eventually, the problem is the SE takes sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long to do anything about it, that the negatives that come with cheaters (such as over-saturating the market with certain items) continue to cause problems because SE drags their feet in getting rid of the cheaters. I'm 100% percent convinced that they take their time intentionally to get cheaters to pay for a couple of months so they can make some good money off the cheaters before banning them. I honestly cannot think of another reason for them to take so long, especially since they themselves say that cheaters/RMT is a big problem for the game. Well if it is, then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT MUCH FASTER!!! I leveled a TON of classes (multiple characters) a couple of months ago. Most jobs were near lvl30 so I did a ton of leveling in the same area for quite a few weeks. The same botter was there for the entire time I was there, I must've reported him 5 times. SE does so little to stop them, at one point another botter put himself in the same area as the other botter, making it a competition between botters over the same mobs. I bet if I log in right now, that botter(s) is/are still there. Seriously SE? Seriously?!?!?!?!?
