During the Live Letter Yoshi said something along the lines of:

Another thing we worked on, for end game Tanks, are mounts for the people taking pride in their jobs. It’s for those tanks to help keep their motivation up; thus it's for true warriors and paladins. It's not a reward for Tanks that simply want to level just to obtain it and stop. It’s for those players who are working hard for awhile now. It’s something for them to show to others that they got this mount for doing that.

To this extent it doesn't sound like something you'll obtain from a two minute quest and that there may be some long-term commitment involved. Also I don't see any new level 50 quests in the patch notes that refer to anything related to a "bear" or "lion" or any quests that are "Tank Only." Therefore, my guess is that these mounts will come from an Achievement reward that involves a lot of time investment.

First of all, not once did he say anything about the mounts being in "2.3." Second, all of the game play footage he shows during "Live Letters" isn't shown during patch notes. During this "2.2 Live Letter" he showed off all the new mounts coming in 2.2. He had all of them on his in-game 2.2 hot bar. He rode around on his bomb chair, sahagin lizard, giant bear, and white lion. I have no idea where you got 2.3 from.

Something people seem to forget: if we continue in the vein of the Unicorn, the mounts are for Classes, not Jobs. It is incidental that we can learn our Job at the same level we can acquire the class-mount.
Therefor, DRG Lore is irrelevant because it would be a LNC mount. Same with an ACN mount (also it would be one mount, not two).

As much as I want a dragon-type mount for my Dragoon... Lancers have nothing to do with dragons. Rather, their mount would probably be something related to being courageous, calm and unshakable.
