FF VIII - I liked how we could Drain Magic and new Magic from Mobs.
FF IX - I seriously liked the character style. Words can't describe how disappointed I was when I learned that we would get the exact same races that were in XI. I love my lala but seriously.. they had practically new everything and they decided to recycle the races?.... still angry about that decision.
What if we had a system where we could level our skills and at a time unknown to us could grow into a new skill. Pokemon style voice "Your Cure evolved into Curaga!"
This is probably too complicated for them to implement, anything with any depth seems out of the question for now. Also, anything that sounds like you need to grind will have people jump up the curtains with fright and start whining that they do not want any kond of grind. Myself liked how you had to skill up your weapons and magics in FFXI but think it would be better seen if spells could evolve with quests rather than use.

1: Final Fantasy XI
2: Favorite feature: Job system, and it's party play, and the strategies it brought to BCNMs. Also, add BCNMs please? ;D
From a console based FF -> FFVII, and it's godly materia combos such as Added Effect + Death. Simliar stuff would be nice.

Favorite FF: FFVII
Although FFVII is my fave, I don't have anything I'd bring over from it. But I do like how money was gained in FFXI and FFXIII, through farming item drops from mobs, and that's how it should've been in FFXIV as well. Collecting money from leves makes the gil worth less and less every time a leve is completed because money is continuously added to the economy instead of traded among players like it should be and is in FFXI, and even in WoW. Sorry if this topic has already been brought up.
Edit: Yay I'm first post on page 6 lol!
1. FFX
2. Deep storyline with characters that I care about
Favorite FF?
-I like too many different features from a few of the games to be able to choose one.
What to put in?
-Something like Memoria from FFIX as a dungeon. We have these Echo powers that let us see a person's past events, how about some jumbled up side effect of this feature to create another realm out of it? Make it happen!

Favorite FF: FFXI
What I Liked:
-Equipment based Abilities: Before finding out how the armory system worked I thought that player abilities would be based off their equipment, Which is very similar to the FF tactics of learning abilities from weapons. Unfortunately there is already a system for abilities and thus it is not likely to be implemented.
-A job system: I enjoyed the job system of many of the FF games, and approve of the actions SE is taking to help define character roles. However I do feel that simply adding the Jobs in with classes is a hack solution, and wish that SE would take more time and consider other options. Jobs should be the overall role of the player at the time, not dependent on what weapon they're using.
-GFs from FFVIII: Made the game alot of fun and could be implemented later in the development process. Could be extremely awesome if implemented correctly.
-Materia from FFVII: I really enjoyed the support materia and linking materia for different effects. We will see how well the materia system for FFXIV turns out, which I am very excited for.
The Party Build System from FFXI: While reverse party making may work at times, searching for people to start up a spontaneous party was much easier in FFXI. It might go a fair way in introducing newcomers to those with experience.
An involving storyline: From all FFs. All FFs have had interesting storyline, and I'm looking forward to what will be added by SE.

1. FF-Tactics: Job system
2. FF8: Triple triad
3. FF12: Mark Board
To name a select few.

i would say chocobo racing from ff7. job system from ff tactics and the card game from ff9.
