The base item may not be, but we'll also have to see what Materia does to it.
While I'm not expecting it to beat the ilevel 110 gear some of the items may still be good situational alternatives.

I'm not going to break my bank over it, though.

i was highly disappointed when i found out that OP meant that crafted gear was ilvl 90 and not that crafters were getting better gear.

Crafters are getting better gear too. Yoshi mentioned crafters would need the higher gear to MAKE the higher battle class gear.

Their Q & A thread says they're only getting a new main hand and head piece. Nothing else. If that's true, a fully overmelded i55 crafter today is probably ready to craft the new higher gear.

That seems odd... A head piece? Really? MH I can understand but the hat is just strange... Come ooon body piece upgrade!


Edit: Not doubting you by the way, I saw that post too, but it struck me as strange then too...
