Well it will give you something to do I guess after we've burn threw 2.2 content in like 4 weeks.

Seems they want you to commit a bit more overall, so the zordiak quest could potentially last "patches". Seems they are doing this for DoH at a lesser extent as well.
Its really a need vs want thing, and chances are you don't need multiple zordiaks to still function properly on other jobs. ie get the zordiak on your "main" farm leviathan ex use his drops on your alts.
Some point the quest will prolly end though and then you more than likely can go back and do another.

Will never happen in a FF MMO and I'm glad for it. I love having a single character... (I do hope we only get 1-2 master recipe books for crafters, though).
I also don't think we can only work on one at a time. Maybe one stage of one weapon at a time. The way I understood it, the Zodiak weapons will not upgrade through a single long quest (like A Relic Reborn (Job)), but a "saga" of quests, each one increasing it a tiny bit, even leading to some stat variety later. Since (still just assuming) each little progression will be a quest, you'd be free to work on other quests for other weapons.

I'm guessing only the first quest is available right now (and thanks to errors in the patch notes...I can't even find one that would fit)...and it will likely take until at least 2.25 (when the next quest is released) or 2.3 for many to finish it.Will never happen in a FF MMO and I'm glad for it. That's for one relic.
they said there'd be rare materials, so i guess you use those to upgrade relic, like you do with zenith, atm.
so either it's repeatable quest, or long chain with progress saved, if you wanna pick up something else.
that's my guess, and i hope sowould suck if you were locked with only one.
If the upgrades will be in stages sorta like they are in ffxi for relics than I would assume you could work on another once that particular stage is complete. And once 2.25 comes out start on the next stages. That's what I am feeling it will be like. Just a guess.
