why exactly should advanced players (having cleared coil several times, downed each EX primal and leveled every class you wanted to 50) care about "OLD" content being nerfed?
to protect my elitist position? wouldn't want the newbies catching up to fast eh?

any content worth doing for experienced players will have plenty enough challenge in 2.2 let those trying to play catch up have their fun! as for the whiner's saying "but they wont learn how to play if its nerfed" or "its not fair to those that had to do it the hard way" get off your high horse this is a casual MMO if you did anything the hard way that was YOUR choice to be the first to get X item's.

You said it: "to[o] fast." This content isn't that old. I haven't been back long enough to beat all three Ex primals, and frankly I don't want them to be any easier than the original players' attempts. If anything, I feel insulted that SE thinks I want the easymode since I wasn't here when they were originally released. It doesn't make me a lesser player, just a player whose job places him in areas without high-speed internet.

I'm totally okay with phasing out old content, but I think they needed to wait longer than a single (major) update.
