I thought $1 would be more reasonable.
I thought $1 would be more reasonable.
a whopping $24 more per year..
brb $0.06 cents more per day
not sure if retarded or really retarded
that being said, no I don't support this.. gonna stick to my FC chest
1. It's sleazy.1- What's your opinion about this? (Summarize)
2- Do you think we will have more things like this in the future totally changing our idea of FFXIV:ARR?
3- Am I just exaggerating and it's something normal or that, 'doesn't affect gameplay' even if it's confirmed that those 'ventures' will grant us items, and even if it is clear that we will need more space storage in the future?...
4- Is our voice enough for change these things?
5- Should retainers be in-game for guil or any other ways, giving the currency a little more of importance aside of housing?
6- Taking in mind these kind of strategies, do you think eventually the game will become a Pay 2 Win, or, not radically that, but, slowly increase the amount of money we pay per month if we want to play it full advantages?
2. It's just the first step. For the 360 day reward, we are given 50 aetheryte passes. It is very likely those, and other items like them, will also be sold for RL money.
3. No.
4. No. Se will do whatever they feel like. It was the English forums that begged them for an item mall. The EU and JP forums did not ask for it.
5. They should be available through quests and story completions.
Yes, it will, but you know, that is exactly what many players are hoping.
1. It was announced in 1.0, it's not a surprise.
2. Things like what? As for the future I hope they keep adding things to the game to make me change my idea of FFXIV:ARR.
3. Yep. You are reading to much into it. However, I will say if the majority of the player base wants it, more than likely "it" (whatever that maybe) will happen.
4. It was already planned, there are more people who want it that don't. The only people who are surprised took Yoshida's interview response way to seriously or to heart.
5. Eh, I wouldn't mind a quest to unlock them, but really there is more to simply adding empty boxes on the screen for people to fill.
6. Nope, but I won't rule it out. Just like I won't rule it out that the servers will melt tomorrow due to some freak accident because someone tripped over a power cord. It could happen.
edit: typo

Of all things they decided to keep, this is probably the second worst, with the worst being the old game engine. It was announced in 1.0, it's not surprise.
It's one of the worst ideas the game designers have. We play game with subcription because you must earn anything working on the game. This give you an advantage for money.
I really wanna know how to get these retainers cos it says its out already but I look at the mog station under optinal services and cant find the extra retainer. Am I missing something?
as for the people that are freaking out... I have 50 all crafts and I have plenty of retainer room to spare. my wife is a hoarder and filled hers completly up with just 2 50 crafts lol. 2 retainers is more than enogh for storage in this game and I dont see anything wrong with adding items that wont effect gameplay for real money. As for the ventures, we dont know how useful these will really be so lets not moan about that yet.
I love that people whine about this.. In FFXI you had pay an additional £1 per character, and this was announced WAY back in 2010. This is purely for storage reasons/ventures, and I think it fair it should be charged. It adds to server stress, increases demands on square's facilities, and as such they should be compensated for the service they provide.
