Surplus, When are they going to remove this game breaker?

I have been playing for about 6 months. Currently my motivation to continue playing is getting lowered so drastically that when I hit surplus I stop playing for a week. There really is nothing in this game that I want to do but level the class I have been wanting to level and dropped 700k-1.5mil on mats to craft. Or drop insane gil on gear. From my point of view it is like they don't want you to play the game once you hit surplus, at least I feel that way. Problem with that thinking is that I am betting there is another 25% of population that feels the same the other 50% is under ranked and leveled and it doesn't matter to them. and 25% doesn't mind because it is a virtual chat room with nice graphics. So 25% of the current playing population is playing till they hit surplus then stopping for a week and starting up again for a couple days at most and then they stop again.
So we basically have empty cities (limnsa, gridinia) rest are all clumped up in ul dah. I have no clue on server population but if the low estimate of 25% of lets say 2-4k depending on the server is 500-1000 people. That might not seem like a lot but those people are the people that cap surplus like that are the engine that allows the casual player to go to the market ward and buy gear for cost, they also stay around in the cities and sell and just stand there giving a false sense of ingame population that isn't considered false in most cases.
It isn't lack of content or some ploy to slow down leveling. I personally think it is a flawed idea implemented by the prior devs and the current devs are being mislead that it is a good idea.
Once you hit level 50 have the subs and want to level a new job it is so frustrating that I literally throw my hands in the air and go ok well guess I will be back in a week. In my opinion the most cruicile aspect of the game this is affecting is the actual ingame population which is struggling to say the least on cornilia.
I don't know if the devs are aware that while this hardcore gamer is gone and ticked off about surplus for a week they might be trying new games and there is the kicker. They are putting 25% of the current all ready low population in a 50/50 of do I go back to ffxiv for 2 days then stop for a week or do I go where I can level as hard as I want.

There is no solution to surplus apart from removing it, what is the worst thing that would happen? More people in cities more people out leveling more people making stuff to sell more people having a good enjoyable time in the game.

I have heard different logic behind the reason surplus is in the game. Gives incintive to rank other professions, but what about the person that has them ranked and wants to level the one job they are excited, happy, and motivated to play the game for.

I know the hardcore player and the player that has been playing since beta doesn't matter apparently because all they do is complain and quit(qoute'n too many people to list) but without these players the game will go even further down once ul dah is dead the game is dead and they might as well cancel the whole idea of it and cut their losses. strong statement but it is about money it is a business and when you are making no money and then lose people that can populate the game and repair everyone's gear you are demolishing the games current acessiblity when it comes to groups gear and crafting mats.

Thanks for reading I am sorry for poor sentence structure, hopefully it is not too hard to read.

I dont know anyone who likes it. I know of casual players that hate it, too. It doesn't help them to be able to play once every 2 weeks only to hit fatigue in an hour or two of playing.

I've taken to just ignoring it when I get it though like you, I'd prefer to just have it removed. I do think I read where they are going to give exp bonus to players who havent been online but that's down the road (Im indifferent to that).

While I understand the premise behind surplus, it ultimately tries to convince me to play a class I don't want to. I play games by choice, so I'd prefer to have full say in what I do and don't level, personally. I hope this is gone soon.

Unless I'm mistaken, they're supposed to remove the Fatigue system in the 1.18 patch.
