    This is the big point right here... that it becomes more worthwhile to just have lower lvl equips... thus without incentive to even go for other higher tier accessories, they become useless... and that's just talking about rings for example... people will also prioritize which type of accessory they even want to wear... it's just too limiting.

    Anyways, I'm happy that they already have spoken on the issue and are getting ready to release the revamp/removal soon =]

    if it goes how it is atm, by the time they increase rank/levels we'll be only able to wear 1 single whopping piece of jewelry. Due to slot cost being 12 or something >.>

    Um.... get RID of it (this excuse justifies nothing devs)
    For example, by allowing players to have more accessories equipped, the value and effect of each accessory will decrease. Also by having more accessories in possession, players can run into storage problems. To prevent these issues from happening, the development team is thinking things through carefully, so it will be a little more time before we have a concrete solution.
    #1. No one cares about the "value" of these accessories. The whole market in general is flooded & inflated. Abolishing the slot cost will not affect anyone.

    #2. These "storage problems" are a poor excuse. If you're SO concerned about that, then make it to where when we EQUIP armor that it goes out of our inventory while equipped. Furthermore, why even make equipment slots if we can't use them up. There is nothing overpowering in anyway about these few accessory slots.


    To devs: Are there any plans to add a "Back" piece slot?

    I agree with adjustments, the slots are a limitation that keeps players from gearing up in a manner that would make them "uber". the system as it is does makes players think about how they are going to gear up, but at the same time, it's too confined in terms of what accessories you can really equip. Either the accessories need thier slot cost adjusted, or players need to be given the opportunity to increase thier slot limit through a quest.

    Or remove 2 ring slots from the game completely (or abolish slot cost). Slot costs will do no good for FF14 and will just upset the Ps3 users as well. Then we'll be having this same thread yet again.

    Nothing about equipping more to accessories will make anyone "UBER!", unless the stat changes next patch are insanely powerful (doubtful).

    get ride of it all together, i want to take the time to gear every piece and i want to be able to wear them all at once. it's pointless to have rings and earings and other stuff if can't gear all, then why not just have 1 type? it's backwards not forwards, i think more is the direction games need to go. if a game makes a part 2 it should be that much and more, not less then.

    Nailed it.

    It's a psychological thing that makes the game feel better. When they added surplus they weren't thinking about the little psychological effects and how it would come off as negative. I hope they are starting to learn about this & how it affects people.

    Even if they have to dumb down stats on accessories (which they still shouldn't) at the cost of removing this slot cost system, then they should. For the positive feeling it would have on people in general.

    yeah everything seems to be a punishment in this game rather then a positive, it's like yeah i can port instant to crystal, but ..i'll run out quick so running is punishemnt and anoying.

    surplus = punishemnt don't want to grind as much when it up, leves great sp makes regular grinding a punishment

    slots with cost = punishment i'd rather have all these things taken away...gimme lose of sp at death over this feeling of punishments, it's very psychological and needs to be fixed.
