[DEV] Will SE do another overall survey of the whole player base?

If they did do another survey I would place it also ingame were they can reach more ppl because for most part they don't even come here.

Agreed~! Thats why I said it should be placed on the login screen where everyone can see it! Maybe do a pop up about it like they do with the maintenance announcements letting people know it's up from X day to X day!

The games go to F2P model when the number of subscriptions down to less 200k as a desperate action for non shut down the servers.

TERA, RIFT, AION, SWTOR etc.

When your game have over 1.8 million of active subscriptions and 500k of players logging everyday, it is not necessary go to F2P model....

Personally i wish to see survey asking. "Do you want see more content for 16/24 men raids"?

• Would you support a cash shop?
• How do you feel about diversity of content available?
• What kind of player do you consider yourself?

I agree and feel that they should have an in-game survey. I feel that this would help allow the player base to somewhat shape the direction of the game and also not have it to where only a small percentage of players are considered when changing things in the game. As it stands now if they base the direction of the game off of what is discussed mostly in the forums, then there is only a small percentage of players being heard. I hope this will get added.

• What is your favourite color?
• Do you prefer a faster pace in the game or a slower one?
• Are the rewards satisfying enough?
• If you put the lime in the coconut, would it taste good?

This sums up my opinion as a whole. When you consider that FFXIV did not intend to have this big of a subscription base, if we swapped over to a F2P at this point, I think they would actually lose money.

On topic though , I would love to see another player survey. They have done wonders for the game.

In-Game Surveys for your playerbase that is actively subscribed is a great idea to maintain them. +1 for that.

As far as F2P/cash shop, I would rather see an increase in the subscription rates and have extra's be content in the game. After playing Guild Wars 2, I never want to play another cash shop game again -- I do not care if its vanity items only. No thank you!

As much as I'd like to see a survey to check on our opinions on this and that, I believe that many things are already set in stone up to the first expansion pack. The liver letter tomorrow morning will cover the new roadmap as well as SE's plans for microtransaction (ugh) so so let's wait and see how that go before we factor in another survey.

If the last survey (the instance dungeon survey) and the mob vs mob mechanic thread is any indication of how they interpret our feedback, then no, lol, I do not want another survey. However, I would participate and read it just for kicks. It is rather funny witnessing SE play the bad genie; the mob vs mob thread was pretty comical.
