[DEV] Will SE do another overall survey of the whole player base?

lol. I pay extra to get a heck of a lot more than 8 characters. XD I agree that it should be 1 person, 1 'vote', but I like the idea of an in-game poll station. Really though, how much of an effect would a handful of character responses from one person have?

eta: And if the poll station is in MD, it's not like someone could just make a new character and immediately waltz up there to give their answers (not easily anyways).

if it would be in the actual game world, there needs to be an announcement that it is there. Only people that check the forums would know otherwise.

Are there any plans to add a "Hunts" board in the taverns across Eorzea a la FFXII?

I ask this because this could be something that would introduced side grade gear, or provide an avenue for solo play.

This survey would only hit the part of the community that checks the forums. If you want a real survey they need it as part of the launcher.

I agree, that's why I said originally they need to announce the survey on the launcher and have the link there that takes the players to the survey.

Here is my question: A poll at log in would mean each active player gets to submit their answers; an in game poll would mean that each active CHARACTER would get to submit their answers. Which is the better idea?

I defiantly say one survey per account. While the NPC in game sounds really cool and would be a fun way to do it, I think per account would be a lot more fair and balanced~!

I agree that a survey on the opening screen would be beneficial for the overall community as it would help in getting more subscribers active in what goes on with the game than just the ones that post on the forums. I say that SE should also use some of the social media avenues such as Twitter, Facebook and Google+ for example to get a bigger distribution of awareness in getting the survey filled out. Many subscribers don't post on the forums for fear of retaliation by trolls and also the feeling that they don't feel like the Devs are reading/listening to their concerns.

I figured that even if it's an npc in game the results would be tied to the account, not the character (i.e. if I log in to character A, take the poll, log into character B, and take the poll, the results from character B would overwrite the results from character A). That way also if you feel like you need to change your answer you could do so by talking to the same npc and retake the poll.
