    Free Company Ranks

So my friends and I started a Free Company for the first time this week. Three of my friends have been playing since ARR launched and I've been playing for almost a month (I mention this because up to this point none of them had bothered to make/join an FC). Anyway, we took the steps to make our FC this past Sunday. It is currently Thursday and our now 6-man FC is Rank 3. We have access to 3 item groups in the Company Chest as well as the ability to make a Company Crest.

Now for the actual question: I'm curious as to what is entailed in Ranking up. Is it based on the levels of progress the members are making in their own games? The reason I thought this may be so is because we achieved Rank 3 the other night as soon as I completed a small miniscule side-quest. Or is there some other factor that the Rank Level Progression is based on? Was just very curious about this.

As always thanks for any answers and help everyone!

    1) Basically anything with a "complete" checkbox, such as Quests and Leves
    2) FATEs (every member contributes their own points), Treasure maps (points are just from the one instance of the map, not per person)
    3) Gathering HQ items
    4) Crafting HQ items

All of these generate points. More for higher level activities. Gathering/crafting is in pretty small amounts.
Also if less people are online, slightly more points are generated per activity.

In the near(?) future (possibly 2.2), Duty Finder activities and PvP will also generate points.

We just pushed our two man FC to rank 6 with only 2 members

Total points needed were around 110k

Just wanted to correct something, the "slightly" more points if less people are online is actually a pretty big margin.

    For example:

Triple leve hand in, level 45 leve
One player online: 21 points per hand in (63 points per leve that way)

Crafting a HQ item level 39-50 non star:
One player online: 12 points per HQ
Two players online: 8 points per HQ

As you see you loose 33% when there is more then you online, which is, when you macro craft 300-400 items in a row quite the difference

    Fates:

One Player online: 69 points for FATEs lvl 46+
Two players online: 44 points per player per FATE lvl 46+

    Daily Quests:

One Player online: 69 points per Quest
Two Player online: 48 points per Quest

    Greetings ('-')/

True, but 2 (or many more) players both doing point-generating activities is still better potentially. It's just something you can work with if your FC is extremely small/inactive, and a minor reason to log off if you're going to take an extended AFK break.
