While I don't disagree with your evaluation of how things are up to this point, I am curious what catch up you envision for 2.3. There no longer exists a gear gap like 2.1 CT filled w/ i80 equipment. I'm curious to know what people think regarding this.No it was intended, you not liking it doesn't mean it's bad.
2.0 without CT meant only the hardcore can push through coil and their i73 gear, fighting an uphill battle for months until they peiced together enough gear from myth and alligan. Bascially 5% of the user based even attempted coil much less got pass turn 1/2.
2.1 bridge that gap with CT drops that enabled higher ilvl average. You had i70+i80+i90 to mix and match, making a lot more people attempting coil and winning it.
without ct: upper echon of the population at end game
with CT: large population attempting coil
2.0 for the world hardcore
2.1 for the normals catch up
2.2 hard core
2.3 normals catch up
It's a decent system.

I've actually been devising a rework to their vertical progression methodology... I will post later![]()
I mean as a former HNMLS leader I love this idea. I don't get why people are like "Oh FC's aren't big enough and so-so" when we did something and people where missing from our ls, we had a back up one we got help from. Now trying to find 23 other like minded people is hard but heck even 16 man stuff would be great.
Downing huge monsters with the help of a bunch of other people feels rewarding... it hard for people to drag their feet when even one persons miss step in a large group could spell doom. Right now I feel like only thing people are having "trouble" with is T5 and there's people who down it every week so that's saying something. As long as it wasn't like one piece of gear that had to be rolled on by 16/24 people I think it's a great idea. Would love to see peoples thoughts on what could be hard for the more endgame oriented people.



Exactly. If anything, 16-man would be sufficient for me.
Generally current CT is alt heaven, and so will probably be the next one. Content where if u join as main job, u will be laughed at.
Multiple top-ilvl sets? SE just needs to stop zealing the vertical progression and start to create items with unique traits, abilities and/or boosting various current abilities.


don't get me wrong content with a lot of people yes... via DF sure, but like Bahamut coil? no thanks.
the content at a lot is rarely rewarding, the strategy are often more simple, it's a slacker heaven, and generally they are pretty damn long fight against huge hp pool monster.

We need 24 man content with a real challenge. Something different than casual tower.
Hopefully, it will come with a future expansion.

I do recall they said allowing players to make premade alliances would be allowed in the future, but with no specified patch. Until that time this request is fairly pointless because it would just make the dungeon a living hell. Patience is a virtue. They know this is what we want.
