[Suggestion] FFXIV companion Mobile App: FFIII style gameplay + other cool stuff

I think it would be really awesome if there was a companion app for FFXIV where we could join the seventh dawn members in some classic turn based RPG action to uncover the dark secrets of the ascians or some other side adventure. It would be a great opportunity for some character building and to tell an interesting side story. In addition, it could let players access the auction house, gather, craft, and even help with the gardening around the FC house. Perhaps items gained by playing the mobile app could be used by your character in FFXIV and vise versa.

Which would make it almost a complete game in and of itself, but it would be a great way to expand on the FFXIV universe and add a new dimension to the MMO side of things.

That would also rule out people that somehow don't have access to a smartphone, or can't emulate them properly for things more elaborate than the Auth app.

Well, I can agree with you on that. But it would be cool if we had some app that let us see a 16-bit or FFIII remake polygon version of our character running around the FC house watering plants, fishing, crafting, or using the auction house. For those more combat inclined, they could do a turn based battle game where you can do a classic Final Fantasy battle roulette. Maybe you can pick other FC members' characters as companions (just a copy... they're accounts wouldn't be effected by it), and then after winning battles with them in your group, when those players log into their characters, they'll have a small amount of gil or some other cool stuff in their mailboxes.

Edit: or just stick with my original idea, but release versions for the PS Online Store and PC as well.
