that, I am not sure since the crafting is technical useless in this game as we speak, and the FC who have housing have more or less multi lvl 50 craft and gathering so they can even farm stuff themself even w/o the retainer. So have like 5-6 retainer farm mats for you doesnt really feel like a pay to win for me cos you didnt really win anything or have any big advantage.

The point is, you pay for retainers to gather for you, whereas otherwise you would need to put the effort yourselves.

It's like I can walk a block and get home vs. I'll ride a taxi to go home.

but you can only gather 1 item/time/retainer and it is an hour before you can get the item. If you teleport to X location to gather, you might be able to gather 2-3 of the materials you need for the craft while the retainer can only gather 1.

The way I can see how retainer gather can work effective is for them to gather material drop from mobs like the apkalu eggs where there are huge competition between player.

So if you ask me, I might as well go and gathering myself because it is more effective and the jobs done faster
